If you’ve ever watched the World Poker Tour (WPT), chances are you’re already a fan of Shana Hiatt.
This blonde bombshell was the hostess of the WPT for its first few seasons, introducing viewers to the intricacies of high-stakes poker, the poker professionals on the show, and the exotic locations where the WPT films.
Shana first got involved in television in New Jersey’s Burlington County College, where she enrolled to study broadcast journalism. However, she didn’t end up finishing her degree – and for good reason. She was spotted by Ray Manzella, the famous model agent who nurtured the careers of celebrities such as Jenny McCarthy and Pamela Anderson. This opportunity was the first step toward a career that she had always dreamed of – being a television presenter.
Along the way, Shana acquired a great deal of experience in modeling and acting. In 1995, she was Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA, and then a Keystone Lite girl in 2002. She also landed roles in a number of television movies and series. However, it was her role as the hostess of the WPT that gained her the most notoriety. Her onscreen presence and her layman’s approach to poker proved to be a big hit with the viewers.
Shana has since left the WPT, but her popularity as a poker presenter remains strong. As a result, Shana continues to host poker events, and will be the hostess for a new poker show that is airing soon.
